Dear people,

Just in case anyone needs my reply to the last post about me last
February, 'Alan Heah we miss you! We hope you are well.'
I have sort of reproduced that thread here, to which I have repeated
my latest reply, but which is simply not showing up in Google Groups.

It started with Cath saying on Feb 23 2010 at 5:45 am:

"Alan,
if you are still reading these ASC posts , I just wanted to say thank
you for all the comments you posted about everyone's stories. They
were always thoughtful and constructive. This group misses your
presence. What ever you are reading now, I hope you find it
entertaining.

best wishes
Catherine"

Then Ster Julie chipped in, on Feb 23 2010 at 10:30 am:

"Dear Alan,

I second what Cathering [sic] said. Miss you!

Peace!
Ster Julie"

Then SLWatson quoted Cath in reply, on Feb 24 2010 at 2:34 am, and
helpfully added:

"Alan's still around; in fact, he just released an eBook for sale of
original writing. XD

Here's how you can keep up with him: http://alanheah.blogspot.com/"

The following is my latest grateful reply to the three of them, which
has still not appeared:

"Dear Cath, Ster Julie and SLWatson (Steff),

Thank you so much for remembering and missing me!

I'm so sorry I'm only replying more than one year after this thread
began, and was it about two years since I went silent here?

My first reaction was: Horrors! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to be
missed so!

I want to thank SLWatson (Steff) for updating Cath and Ster Julie for
me last year — really appreciate the gesture, belatedly more so!

Yes, I still self-publish at Simply Words on Blogger, the ebooks are
selling very little, as feared yet expected — yet I love the stuff I
create and innovate, and will continue as long as I can.

I actually stumbled upon this while Googling myself, in order to
encourage an old friend to maintain his online legacy, after he had
recently Googled himself to a pleasant nostalgic surprise.

My explanation for going missing:
After my Internet service provider SingNet went awry with this
discussion group's postings, and I couldn't do any better using my
Thunderbird email program, I lapsed badly in reading, and the backlog
became impossible.
Like an obstinate donkey, I refused to migrate to Google Groups,
especially when their search function seemed to narrow down to recent
weeks, instead of years way back.

I'm also sorry to Steff that I also could not keep out with the then
prodigious production at her marvellous Ad Astra too.

I would like to resume here (and over at Ad Astra), after this
accidental stumble-upon search, although I'm very aware that my time
is far more divided than ever before, and am unhappily forced to be
more focused and selective in my reading.
Still, I can do what I can, can't I?

Again, thanks to you, Catherine Ellis, Julianna and Steff (Walker),
for making this response possible.
Your kind thoughts and friendship, and those of everyone else here,
make my online continuance here possible."

Thank you for reading, if this interests you.

So sorry about the repost.

I was trying to correct to "keep _up_" with Ad Astra (too), and remove
"keep _out_" (of it);
and then found I could not delete the original error post (as I expect
of Google Groups).

Kindly disregard and discard the irrelevant, thank you again.

Ain't technology great? And welcome back, Alan.
